RECALL ROUNDUP: Metallic Starbucks branded mugs, Takata airbags and liquid rolling candy recalled

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled about 440,500 metallic mugs included in 2023 Holiday Starbucks-branded gift sets made by Nestle.

Federal regulators say if the mugs are microwaved or filled with extremely hot liquid the mugs can overheat or break, posing burn and cut hazards.

The recall includes gift sets with 11 oz. and 16 oz. mug gift sets with metallic coasting and Starbucks branding. The affected mugs were sold at Target and Walmart stores nationwide and online from November 2023 to January of this year.

Owners are urged to stop using the mugs immediately and return them to the store for a refund or contact Nestle.

Takata airbags

Millions of vehicles that have Takata Airbags have been recalled.

The company says 19 automakers are part of the recall including Chrysler, GM and Toyota. The National Transportation Safety Administration says long-term exposure and high humidity can cause the airbags to explode when deployed, which could cause serious injuries or even death.

Federal safety regulators say that "do not drive" warnings have been issued for certain vehicles that are at a higher risk for airbag explosions.

Happiness USA Liquid Rolling Candy

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled about 290,000 units of Happiness USA Liquid Rolling Candy.

Regulators say the candy's liquid rolling ball can move from its position and go into a child's mouth posing a choking hazard and risk of death. The recalled candy comes in blue raspberry, strawberry and green apple flavors and was sold nationwide at Kosher Markets from January 2018 to July, 2023

Consumers are urged to make sure children get ahold of this candy and the maker of the candy, Twenty Four Six Foods, for a full refund. The company says it is contacting known purchasers directly.
