Tracking a frigid Monday followed by a warm up later in the week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the mid-20s. Wind chills in the upper teens.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and cold with gusty winds and highs near 40. Wind chills in the 30s.

EXTENDED: A cold air mass settles in with high pressure aloft tonight, allowing temperatures to drop into the lower 20s. Winds start to pick up from the northwest tonight into tomorrow, and that will keep wind chills in the 30s during the day on Monday. We'll see a wind shift back to the west-southwest on Tuesday as that high pressure starts to move east, but strong winds pick up to send us into the mid-upper 60s. We'll be tracking a front that comes through on Wednesday to drop us back into the 50s through mid-week. A weak disturbance moves through between Thursday and Friday, bringing a slight chance for showers. By the weekend, we'll see a better chance for rain as a more organized low pressure system moves in. Temperatures will be slightly above average in the lower 60s.
