Tracking widespread showers before a drier weekend

TODAY: Afternoon highs warm into the mid-50s as widespread showers remain throughout Mid-Missouri this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Overnight lows cool to the lower 50s with widespread showers and some rumbles of thunder. Moderate showers remain possible with heavier isolated showers possible.

EXTENDED: Friday morning holds onto showers before a little dry time after 10 am. Scattered showers look to return to the region for southeastern portions of Mid-Missouri by Friday afternoon before pushing out to the east by Saturday morning. The rest of the weekend remains dry and cooler before a warming trend throughout next week.
