Eldridge man accused of pulling gun on woman in Jefferson City parking lot
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A 62-year-old Eldridge man was arrested Friday morning after police say he pulled a gun on a woman in a parking lot at a doctor’s office.
Marc Soulie was charged on Friday with unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree harassment and fourth-degree assault. He was arrested and brought to the Cole County Jail, according to a press release from the Jefferson City Police Department. No bond was set. A court date has not been scheduled.
According to the release, the victim said Soulie pointed a gun at her while she was parking in the 1200 block of West Stadium Boulevard. She allegedly told law enforcement that she didn’t know the man or why he pointed the gun.
The release states the Soulie showed the gun twice and demanded the woman not park near him. He allegedly admitted to pointing the gun – according to the release and the probable cause statement – and told police he thought the woman was going to hit his vehicle. Soulie allegedly told police that he wasn’t threatening the woman, but wanted her to know “to stay away,” the probable cause statement says.
A loaded handgun was found during the arrest, according to the release. The probable cause statement says Soulie was banned from the doctor’s office after he was verbally abusive towards staff. The statement also says he was arrested in the state of California for “threaten a crime, intimidation or terrorize.”
