Tracking snow for southern Missouri, mild week ahead
TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 20s to around 30.
TOMORROW: Snow showers along I-44, accumulating between 1-4" south of the interstate. Areas along and south of Highway 50 see a trace to 1/2". Highs reach the mid-40s with partly cloudy skies elsewhere.
EXTENDED: Low pressure to our south will bring a band of moderate snowfall to southern Missouri early Monday morning into Monday afternoon. The more impactful snowfall stays south of Mid-Missouri, but areas along and south of the I-44 corridor could end up with 1-4" of accumulation. A few lighter snow showers may reach as far north as the Lake of the Ozarks, but amounts will remain under half an inch or so. Areas north will be partly cloudy and reach the mid-40s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be warmer as highs reach the lower to mid-50s. Another front works through on Wednesday night, bringing a chance of overnight rain. Highs on Thursday still manage the upper 50s before another system brings a shot at rain or snow early on Friday. We'll be cooler in the wake of that with highs in the lower 40s Friday, and eventually colder and breezy to start the weekend in the 30s on Saturday. We'll recover back to near average on Sunday as we bounce back up into the mid-40s.
