Mizzou loses 15th-straight game at Allen Fieldhouse to No. 2 Kansas
LAWRENCE, Kan. (KMIZ)
Confidence was high for the Mizzou men’s basketball team, out of the gates, against No. 2 Kansas on Saturday, as the Tigers held a lead over the Jayhawks for much of the first half. However, the second-ranked team in the land went on to defend the home court with a 73-64.

Kansas started heating up at the end of the opening half, going on a 14-0 scoring run in the last three minutes. That run carried KU to a 41-29 lead at the break.
Out of the locker room, the momentum stayed with the home team. After putting up five points after the half, Mizzou proceeded to go on a 2:00 scoring drought. Freshman Anthony Robinson broke up the drought with a jumper in the paint to make it 47-36, still in favor of KU, however, that good energy didn’t last long. KJ Adams blocked a Robinson layup on one end and big man Hunter Dickinson slammed it home on the other. It was the story of the game, as the good vibes stayed on the Kansas bench, from there.

Nick Honor and Sean East were the only two Tigers to get into double-digit scoring, on Saturday, as the team finished shooting 41 percent from the field. Honor finished with 17 and East with 21.
Guard Caleb Grill did not play in the loss, due to an injury to his non-shooting wrist. Before the game, the team said he will miss five to seven weeks with that injury.
MU has now lost its last 15 games at Allen Fieldhouse and has not won in enemy territory since 1999.
Up next - Mizzou will head right back down I-70 to Kansas City on Sunday, Dec. 17. The Tigers will be taking on Seton Hall at the T-Mobile Center. Tip off is at 4 p.m.
