State cannabis regulators revoke manufacturing facility license for Delta Extraction

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation has revoked the marijuana manufacturing license of Delta Extraction, LLC, according to a Thursday press release from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

The revocation will take effect Saturday, Dec. 2, according to the release.

According to the release, the DCR issued an order of immediate suspension because of records in the state’s marijuana tracking system “indicated inversion of marijuana product at the facility as well as practices permitting marijuana product to enter the regulated market without being compliantly tested.”

The DCR eventually issued a recall of Delta’s products on Aug. 14. A press release at the time stated products were not compliantly tracked in the statewide track and trace system. Delta filed a motion for a temporary restraining order against the DHSS and DCR, but it was dismissed by a judge on Aug. 30.

According to the release, the DCR issued an amended notice of pending revocation.

“While Delta Extraction’s use of out-of-state cannabis in our regulated system has been well-publicized and is a critical issue, DCR also found numerous other violations of rules at this facility,” DCR Director Amy Moore said in the Thursday press release. “The Missouri Constitution charges the Department with ensuring the safety of marijuana product and the safety and security of marijuana facilities through enforcement of rules. We must be clear on this: Businesses that choose to participate in Missouri’s marijuana industry do not get to decide which rules and which parts of Article XIV they want to follow.”
