SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Demonstrators seeking a cease-fire in Gaza blocked bridges on both sides of the U.S., including a major span into San Francisco during a global trade summit with President Joseph Biden and other world leaders. The California Highway Patrol arrested at 80 protesters Thursday after more than 200 people shut down all west-bound lanes of the Bay Bridge. They targeted Biden, who is in San Francisco for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders’ conference. In Boston, about 100 protesters called on U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren to do more to demand a cease-fire. Some demonstrators in San Francisco who drove tossed their keys into the bay after stopping their vehicles on the bridge.
