Fulton starts search for Director of Administration

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Four months after the city administrator was fired, the mayor of Fulton announced the start of the search to fill the role full-time.

A special hiring committee has been created to review applications. A news release says the committee will evaluate each application "to ensure a fair and comprehensive selection process."

Mayor Steve Myers in the news release "the selection process is designed to be thorough and transparent."

The former administrator, Renee Taylor was fired from the position on July 7. The reason for her termination has not been released. Courtney Doyle was appointed as the Interim Director of Administration by the City Council on the same day.

Applications are open until Dec. 1.

Doyle told ABC 17 News she is applying for the permanent position.
