Columbia man accused of stabbing father to death booked into Boone County Jail

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man who was accused of killing his father last week has been booked into the Boone County Jail.

Alen Muslic, 22, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. A court date has not been set. He is accused of stabbing Zufer Muslic, 62, to death on Thursday in the street in front of a residence in the 700 block of Medina Drive.

Alen Muslic was arrested Thursday and was brought to Fulton State Hospital, according to a Thursday press release from the Columbia Police Department.

Muslic allegedly to police that he stabbed the victim and decided he wanted to kill him.

According to court documents, police saw blood on the walls inside the house, a bloody footprint in the kitchen, knives covered in blood and a blood trail on the street to the back of the house.

Muslic allegedly told police that an argument preceded a fight between him and the victim -- according to the probable cause statement -- and that he was pinned to the ground at one point. After he got up and allegedly indicated that the fight was over, Alen Muslic grabbed two knives and Zufer left the house, the statement says.

However, Alen Muslic said he followed Zufer Muslic out into the street and stabbed him, according to the statement.
