Tracking a frigid Halloween night, gradual warming the rest of this week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the upper teens to low 20s. Wind chills in the low to mid-teens by daybreak.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40s. Clouds return tomorrow night.

EXTENDED: Strong winds finally try to die down overnight, but a slight westerly breeze will keep wind chills in the mid-teens by morning. After a clear and frigid morning, I'll be tracking a wind shift back to the southwest, sending our afternoon temperatures back into the upper 40s. Clouds roll in with a brief disturbance on Wednesday night, keeping temperatures right around the freezing mark on Thursday morning. Thursday and Friday are warmer with high clouds and highs in the upper 50s to mid-60s into the end of the week. The weekend starts off dry with highs in the upper 60s on Saturday. A front sets up to our north and could bring a chance of showers across northern Missouri Saturday night, but we'll have a better shot at a few showers overnight into Sunday morning. A cold front works in early in the week, bringing a better shot at rain between Monday and Tuesday. Once that clears, temperatures will drop back below average into the mid-50s.
