Tracking a mild pattern well into next week

TODAY: Clouds will and a northwest breeze will be a focus of today's forecast, in that they will determine just how warm we get today. Likely, we're stuck in the mid-to-upper 60s today. A sprinkle or some drizzle is possible this morning, but overall Thursday is dry after rain last night. Skies will likely by partly cloudy from late morning into the afternoon after a mostly cloudy start early.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the low 40s with clearing skies and calming winds overnight. Expect a bright start to Friday.

EXTENDED: With more sunshine, Friday and Saturday should bring highs in the low 70s. A dry cold front passes on Saturday, leaving us slightly cooler on Sunday. More clouds will return on Sunday as well. This is thanks to an upper level shortwave, but it will be starved of moisture, keeping rain chances at bay, until at soonest Monday morning, but still Monday looks mostly dry. Tuesday is likely dry as well, but rain chances fill in late Tuesday and into Wednesday as we near another low pressure system around the middle of next week. Temperatures remain in the low 70s and upper 60s through Monday, but some mid-to-upper 70s may come on Tuesday as we warm ahead of that low. If rain materializes like we expect on Wednesday, we can expect low 70s.
