JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City Police Department has launched a new online portal for residents to follow calls, according to a Tuesday press release.

The portal -- Citizen Connect -- is contained inside the JCPD website, according to the release.

According to the release, residents can view the date, time and incident number of calls for service within the city. Those who use the website can also use filters for a date range and the types of calls.

No registration is required to use the portal, the release states.
