Tracking fog this morning ahead of slim rain chances this week
TODAY: We're waking up to clear skies on Monday, but this means dense fog will be possible as clear skies allow us to cool quickly. Fog will clear eventually, leaving us mostly sunny through the majority of the day, allowing us to warm into the low 80s.
TONIGHT: Some high clouds may arrive overnight, but it shouldn't keep us much warmer overnight. Expect temperatures to fall into the low 60s and upper 50s. Dewpoints will be lower for most, meaning fog is not as likely, save for folks in the southwest near the Truman Lake and Lake of the Ozarks.
EXTENDED: Tuesday will start sunny, but gradually, we'll see an increase in clouds into the afternoon. We'll stay mostly dry during the day, but as our low level winds ramp up overnight, we'll pick up an isolated (30%) chance of thunderstorms. We may see an isolated storm with gusty winds or small hail, but this threat is uncertain and centered mostly east of mid-Missouri, near St. Louis. Some shower potential may linger early Wednesday, but skies dry by noon as temperatures return to near 80. It's a warm forecast from here, with highs in the low-to-mid 80s under sunny skies all the way through the weekend as upper level high pressure brings back unseasonably warm and dry conditions.
