Charges filed after shooting at Auxvasse gas station

AUXVASSE, Mo. (KMIZ)

An Auxvasse man has been charged after he is accused of shooting a gun at a gas station Thursday afternoon.

Prince Emmanuel Lewis Samuels is charged with unlawful use of a weapon - exhibiting and armed criminal action.

According to court documents, Samuels and a witness got into an argument with the victim after accusing the victim of driving too close.

Callaway County Deputies said the victim saw the suspect get out of the car and fire one shot from a handgun into the air. Video evidence shows the two cars drive near each other, stop and then Samuels getting out of the car and raise his arm in the air before leaving the scene.

Deputies found a 9mm shell casing in the driveway of the gas station at 804 S. Main Street, Auxvasse.

Prince was found at his home and denied ever shooting a gun at the gas station. Deputies said they found two unused 9mm bullet, one in his bag and another on the floor of the car.

Samuels is currently being held at the Callaway County Jail without bond. No court date has been set.
