Air show to take place this weekend in Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Show-Me State Air-Show took off Friday afternoon in Jefferson City

ABC 17 news chief photographer Jerunek Morris attended the air-show from the cockpit of an airplane during a rehearsal run Friday.

The gates open Saturday a 9 a.m., with demonstrations beginning at 11 a.m. at the Jefferson City Memorial Airport.

This is the first Show-Me state airshow since 2021. It was canceled last year due to a lack of funding.

Organizers say those attending are allowed to bring blankets and chairs. Other items like coolers, glass containers and bicycles are not allowed.

Pets are also not allowed -- unless they are documented service animals. There will be parking on site.
