Bonne Femme Creek Bridge reopens
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Bonne Femme Creek Bridge reopened Wednesday, the Missouri Department of Transportation stated in a press release.
MoDOT closed Highway 163 on April 10 to replace the bridge. The project was initially expected to be completed by Aug. 4, but work halted on April 11 after a cave associated with the Devil’s Ice Box case system was discovered. Work resumed on June 12, according to the press release.
The old bridge had to be replaced because it was in poor condition, according to an April press release.
