Columbia public schools to hold meet and greets with new school executives Monday night
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
As part of Columbia Public School District's new strategic plan, meet and greets will be held for families of students to meet the districts new Executive Director Leadership Team.
The district will hold three separate meetings at three different high schools starting Monday. The first meeting will be held at Hickman High School at 6 pm Monday.
The second meeting will be held on September 6th at Battle High School at 6:15 pm. The final meeting will be held at Rock Bridge High School September 13th at noon.
According to the Columbia Public School District, the goal of the meeting is to introduce the new leadership team and share how they will positively impact schools in the future.
The new team of four personnel that will be at the meet and greet include; Director of Elementary Education, Director of Federal Programs, Director of Professional Development and Executive Director of Secondary Education.
Superintendent for Human Resources for the Columbia Public Schools Ditrict, Michelle Holz, told ABC 17 back in December that directors had too much on their plates for a single person. By creating these new leadership positions, it will allow the people filling them to focus on the work that needs to be done.
The addition of the four new positions is expected to cost the school 530,000 dollars.
That number is expected to increase to 622,500 dollars after benefits are added.
