Tracking a big pattern shift leaving more sunshine on the horizon

TONIGHT: We'll stay somewhat breezy this evening, as we continue to deal with the parent system from yesterday's storms. Clouds fill in overnight, and temperatures remain in the low 60s. For these reasons, fog is unlikely overnight.

TOMORROW: Clouds will slowly clear Tuesday morning. We may start mostly to partly cloudy depending on well these stratus hold together. Overall, expect a partly cloudy day with sunshine making it to the ground by the afternoon. Winds will relax throughout the day, and we'll be clear by sunset as high pressure eases in.

EXTENDED: High pressure allows for efficient cooling, so expect to start Wednesday with 50s and some valley fog. Wednesday through Friday, we'll be sunny, with highs in the 80s. We may add a few clouds on Thursday, but it won't be too noticeable, and we'll stay dry. Our upper level pattern will start to favor high pressure moving overhead this weekend. This and some southerly flow will put temps back in the 90s starting Saturday. This pattern may favor more sunshine, but also more heat well into next week.
