Bike rider hit by Ford in Audrain County

MEXICO, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mexico Department of Public Safety said in a Thursday press release that a woman on a bicycle was hit Wednesday in the 3800 block of South Clark Street by a vehicle.

Hong Jin, 53 of, Mexico, was riding a bicycle on the northbound shoulder when she swerved slightly into the northbound lane, the release states. She was hit by a 2008 Ford being driven by Mark Elwood, 66, of Auxvasse.

Jin was brought to University Hospital by ambulance, according to the release.
