Man accused of murdering pregnant woman denied bond

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man charged with the murder of a pregnant woman was denied bond Tuesday and will remain in custody at the Department of Corrections.

Sevance Brewer, 31, did not appear in court Tuesday, and had his bond denied due to parole violations. His next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 7.

Brewer is accused of killing a pregnant woman at a home along the 4800 block of Clearview Road in Boone County.

According to court documents, brewer shot the woman during an argument.
