Monroe Street in Jefferson City to close near hospital next week for construction

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A portion of Monroe Street in Jefferson City near Capital Region Medical Center will close next week for construction, according to a Tuesday press release from the City.

Monroe Street will be closed 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14-Friday, Aug. 18, between Case and Woodlawn avenues. The street will reopen each evening.

The road will be closed so Missouri American Water can reconstruct a water meter vault, the release states.

Detours will be posted, and motorists are urged to find alternate routes.
