Tracking drier conditions late today

This Afternoon: A storm complex tracking through western Missouri is heading south of our area, and any redevelopment of storms looks unlikely heading into this evening. Temperatures will reach the lower 90s as conditions dry out.

Tonight: Some clouds linger as lows cool to the lower 70s. Winds remain out of the west at 5-10 mph.

Extended: Tuesday morning sees scattered chances of showers and storms with a possible secondary round during the late evening hours. The severe risk remains low once again as highs soar into the upper 90s. The heat index looks to reach up to 102 degrees Tuesday. Wednesday through Friday sees the highs float around 100 degrees with the heat index up to 104 degrees.
