Mizzou hoops set for a busy Saturday in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team has a busy Saturday ahead, as the team will host an open practice for fans, as well as give a proper send off to former Tiger star Kobe Brown.

It will be the first time fans will be able to catch a glimpse of head coach Dennis Gates' 2023-24 team, which is filled with lots of new faces. The practice will begin at 12:30 p.m. on July 22 at Mizzou Arena and is expected to run until about 3:30 p.m.

After taking in a practice, fans will have a chance to say goodbye to Brown, after he made his NBA Summer League debut. The send-off will be at Bud's BBQ on Ninth Street in Columbia. Brown will be there from 4:30 p.m. until about 7:00 p.m.

Event organizers said it will be a chance for Brown to say thank you to the community.

For fans interested in attending the open practice at Mizzou Arena, you can find more details below.
