Tracking a more pleasant weekend before next week’s heat wave

TONIGHT: A cold front is pushing through the region this evening, and is almost out of here. Dewpoints are still tropical in some locations, but we expect rapid improvement behind the front, and expect dewpoints in the 50s by sunrise tomorrow. With temperatures in the 60s, Friday should start crisp. Expect Skies to clear this evening, before high clouds return early Friday morning.

TOMORROW: These clouds will be from storms to our south, and light showers directly overhead. This shower activity will be very limited, and may very well only result in a few sprinkles for your morning commute on Friday. No meaningful rain will come from this. Part of our cold front passage will be drier air; not just at the surface, but at the mid-levels too. This will eat at any rainfall Friday morning. Skies are likely to clear to a degree on Friday afternoon. Highs max out at mid-80s.

EXTENDED: Saturday will be a bit warmer, with high 80s and low humidity under partly cloudy skies. On Sunday, we'll feel warmer, as temperatures return to the low 90s. This will come with a chance for some showers and possibly some weak thunderstorms, so locally, temperatures may be cooler. Low level south winds will return heat into early next week, which will be allowed to build, as upper level high pressure begins to build in through the week. We expect temperatures to climb into the mid-to-upper 90s Monday through Friday. Rain chances are low next week, with partly cloudy skies expected to be a usual occurence.
