Overnight pavement work scheduled for Downtown Columbia next week

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Contractors for the City of Columbia Public Works are scheduled to perform roadwork on several Downtown streets, according to a Friday press release from the City.

  • 7 p.m. Monday- 7 a.m. Tuesday: East Walnut Street from North Garth Avenue to North Providence Road; Locust Street from South College Avenue to Hitt Street
  • 7 p.m. Tuesday- 7 a.m. Wednesday: East Broadway from Garth Avenue to Providence Road
  • 7 p.m. Wednesday- 7 a.m. Thursday: East Broadway from Providence Road to Seventh Street
  • 7 p.m. Thursday - 7 p.m. Friday: East Broadway from Seventh Street to Tenth Street
  • 7 p.m. Friday, July 14 - 7 a.m. Saturday, July 15: Hitt Street from East Broadway to Rollins Street
  • 7 p.m. Monday, July 17 - 7 a.m. Tuesday, July 18: Hitt Street from East Broadway to Rollins Street

The City says to refrain from parking vehicles overnight on any streets with "no parking" signs. Any vehicle parked overnight in work areas can be ticketed or towed.

Free parking is available year-round in any City parking garage between 6 p.m.-8 a.m. 

Temporary street closures will be required, according to the release. Traffic control signs and flaggers will be present.
