COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man who was accused of pulling out a gun and threatening workers at a business in November was sentenced to five years of supervised probation last week.

Korshawn Brown, 19, pleaded guilty in March to unlawful use of a weapon and stealing a gun. He received a suspended sentence of four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. He was also ordered to not be on the premises of Express Liquor in Columbia.

Brown was initially charged with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and having a stolen gun. Brown was accused of pulling out a gun, racking it and threatening workers before taking several items in early November at Express Liquor.

A deputy arrested Brown a few days later. He had a handgun that investigators believed was used in the robbery, according to a November press release. The gun was reported stolen in August.
