Tracking scattered storms this weekend with warming temperatures

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to 60 degrees as winds remain out of the southwest at 10-15 mph with gust up to 25 mph.

Tomorrow: Saturday morning sees the chance of some morning scattered showers and thunderstorms that clear out closer to noon. The late afternoon hours and early evening hours could see the possibility of isolated strong to severe storms. A large atmospheric CAP will be in place which limits storm growth. If this CAP can break down, then storms will fire-up in northeastern portions of Mid-Missouri. If the CAP breaks the biggest threats will be strong winds up to 60+ mph, hail up to 1+" in diameter, and a very low risk for a tornado. If the CAP holds in place little to no storm activity will develop. Afternoon highs reach into the upper 80s.

Extended: Scattered storms remain possible throughout the week with highs into the mid-80s. Sunshine will continue to poke through between storm chances helping lead to such warm conditions.
