Tracking below average temperatures, slim rain chances until late week

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds and not as cold with lows in the mid-40s.

TOMORROW: Partly sunny with evening rain showers possible near the Lake of the Ozarks. Highs in the mid-upper 60s.

EXTENDED: The upper level pattern will continue to favor below average temperatures for much of the week as highs reach the mid-upper 60s and lows fall into the 40s. Several weak disturbances slide across the region, but most of the rain stays to our south with the exception of Wednesday night, where showers could creep as far north as the Lake area. A more potent low pressure system moves across the Upper Plains/Great Lakes region on Friday into Saturday, and that will drag a cold front through Mid-Missouri for the first half of the weekend. Less than half an inch of rain is expected, but temperatures will be cool with scattered showers between Friday afternoon and Saturday. A few showers could linger into Sunday morning across northern Missouri, but we should rebound back to about 60 by Sunday afternoon.
