Tracking a risk of strong to severe storms today

TODAY: A Weather Alert Day is in effect for Saturday with severe storms possible by midafternoon through the evening. For more details head to our blog. Storms are estimated to fire up in southwest Missouri around 3 pm and track through the area bringing large hail up to 2"+ and 60-70 mph winds. The threat wanes by sundown as storms head east.

TOMORROW: Steady showers persist into Sunday as low pressure swirls overhead. Temperatures will be dramatically cooler in the 40s and 50s with wind gusts out of the northwest.

EXTENDED: Monday and Tuesday see drier conditions and another warming trend back to the 70s. The second half of next week is looking more active with several more chances for showers and storms.
