5-year-old flown to hospital after being hit by semi-truck

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 5-year-old boy was flown to University Hospital in Columbia on Wednesday after being hit by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 44.

The incident happened a little before 6 p.m. in Pulaski County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. The unidentified Waynesville boy walked into the road near the 157-mile marker and was hit by a tractor-trailer driven by a St. Louis man.

No other information was available Thursday morning.
