Tracking a colder afternoon under clouds

THIS AFTERNOON: Clouds keep conditions cold with highs in the 30s. A northwesterly breeze will keep the feels-like in the 20s all day.

TONIGHT: Clouds will start to break up overnight, especially in the west. This will allow temperatures to drop very efficiently by the early morning hours, leaving many of us in the low 20s.

EXTENDED: More sunshine helps us get into the 40s on Tuesday, along with southerly winds late in the day. This will set us up for a big warmup on Wednesday as we climb into the 60s under partly cloudy skies. These clouds are a marker of what's to come, though, as rain returns by Thursday morning. Expect rain and thunder through the day on Thursday, with temperatures in the 60s ahead of a cold front. Behind the front on Friday morning, we may see some snow flurries, but no significant accumulations are expected at this time. Drier, but cooler weather sets up again for the weekend.
