The flurry of movement around the NHL continues well ahead of the trade deadline Friday. Defending champion Colorado acquired center Lars Eller from Washington. Carolina made another under-the-radar deal by getting defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere from Arizona. And the Coyotes finally traded Jakob Chychrun by sending him to Ottawa. Columbus could soon flip goaltender Jonathan Quick to a contender after getting the two-time Stanley Cup-winning goalie from Los Angeles. General managers are busier than usual in the days leading up to the deadline and don’t anticipate the action slowing down any time soon.
