KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

For the second time in his career, Matt Nagy is the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs. KC promoted the 2022 quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator, after former OC Eric Bieniemy took a job with the Washington Commanders.

Nagy was Kansas City's offensive coordinator in 2016 and 2017, before he was hired as the head coach for the Chicago Bears. The Bears fired Nagy at the end of the 2021 season, after going 34-31 over the course of four years. He re-joined the Chiefs staff for the 2022 season and won his first-career Super Bowl with the team.

Nagy looked to be the likely choice for the new offensive coordinator, after Bieniemy’s departure to be the OC for the Commanders.

Nagy is no stranger to head coach Andy Reid's coaching staffs, as he also worked with Big Red in Philadelphia.
