Tracking an overnight wintry mix with a warmer weekend

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the upper 20s with a light wintry mix expected after 8 PM. Surface temperatures look to remain above freezing meaning travel impacts or low to none. Winds switch out of the northwest at 5 mph.

Tomorrow: Saturday sees a shift of winds out of the west/southwest leading to a warming trend with highs into the lower 50s. Skies become partly cloudy.

Extended: Sunday sees even warmer temperatures up into the lower 60s. Sunday afternoon welcomes chances of showers and storms which exit the region by early Monday morning. Strong winds and heavy downpours are expected with this system. Temperatures look to remain well above for the first half of the week with more chances of precipitation expected beginning next Thursday.
