KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A Kansas City firefighter who agreed to plead guilty in a collision that killed three people has been sentenced to probation. Dominic Biscari pleaded guilty Tuesday to three counts of second-degree involuntary manslaughter and was placed on three years of probation. He was driving a fire department pumper truck through the city’s Westport entertainment district Dec. 15, 2021, when he ran a red light and hit a vehicle in the intersection. Two people in the vehicle died. A woman walking on a nearby sidewalk also died when both vehicles left the road and hit her. The city agreed to pay $1.3 million to the victims’ families. Another lawsuit is pending.
