Longtime NFL veterans finding the playoff promised land

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Carlos Dunlap signed with the Kansas City Chiefs because the longtime NFL defensive end was tired of losing. Six times he had appeared in the playoffs and yet he never won a game. Now, Dunlap might book-end his first playoff victory with one in the Super Bowl when the Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The same magical ride is playing out on their other sideline, where veterans Robert Quinn and Darius Slay had never won a playoff game before this year. Wins over the Giants and 49ers took them off the same dubious list where Dunlap once resided, and now they have an opportunity at a championship.
