DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Azerbaijan says it will evacuate its embassy in Iran after an attack killed one person there and wounded two others, accusing Tehran of not taking threats made against the post seriously. The move comes amid monthslong tensions between the neighboring nations. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry made the announcement in a statement Friday. There was no immediate reaction from Iran on the announcement. A man armed with a Kalashnikov-style rifle stormed the Azerbaijan Embassy in Iran’s capital Friday, killing the head of security at the diplomatic post and wounding two guards.
