Missouri man sentenced for shooting deaths of wife, in-laws

KMIZ

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — A Missouri man who said he killed his wife and her parents because he was upset his in-laws wouldn’t leave has been sentenced to life in prison. Fifty-year-old Jesse Huy, of Strafford, was sentenced Friday to three consecutive terms of life without parole. Prosecutors said Huy killed his wife, 48-year-old Tonya Huy and her parents, 71-year-old Ronald Koehler and 78-year-old Linda Koehler, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in March 2021. Court documents say the Koehlers were visiting to help their daughter recover from back surgery. Court documents say Huy told police he shot the victims because he wanted the Koehlers to leave and his wife sided with her parents.
