FRISCO, Texas (AP) — South Dakota State and quarterback Mark Gronowski are getting another shot in the FCS title game. Sunday’s game against rival and defending national champion North Dakota State comes nearly 20 months after the quarterback tore the ACL in his left knee on the opening series of an unusual spring finale. Gronowski missed the end of that loss to Sam Houston State, and all of the more normal 2021 season that quickly followed that fall. Gronowski has thrown for 2,743 yards and 23 touchdowns with only five interceptions in what is now his sophomore season. He also has 11 rushing scores.
