Tracking light precipitation to kick off the weekend
THIS AFTERNOON: Southerly winds will warm temperatures greatly from the chilly start to the day, as highs reach the upper 40s. More sunshine will also aid in warmer conditions and make for a comfortable afternoon.
TONIGHT: Clouds increase from the south, and with continued southerly winds, temperatures hold in the low 40s. Light rain is possible in the early morning hours across our southern counties.
EXTENDED: Chances for precipitation increase early Saturday as low pressure approaches. This will keep light rain in the forecast across the southern portions of the area, while places like Marshall, Boonville, Columbia, Mexico, and northward will have a better chance of a rain/snow mix. Precipitation on both fronts is light, and ground temperatures will be warm, so any snow that falls will struggle to stick. Overall, travel impacts other than a wet or slushy road are not expected. Next week looks dry and warm, with Sunday in the low-to-mid 40s, giving way to temps near 50 by Monday. Temperatures moderate into the mid-40s through the end of next week, where slim rain chances taunt us.
