Mizzou remains unbeaten in the SEC after a back-and-forth game at Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Al. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team remains unbeaten in the SEC after winning a back-and-forth battle against Alabama 66-65.

The Tigers went into the half trailing by two, but after that the shots from beyond the arch started to fall.

MU was led by big performances off the bench from Kaitlyn Gilbert and Sara Rose-Smith. Gilbert finished with 13 points and five assists and Rose-Smith finished with her fifth double-double of the season, 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Freshman Ashton Judd also finished with 11 points and Lauren Hansen with 10. Mizzou had 17 turnovers on the night and was out-rebounded 36-33.

Alabama was led by Brittany Davis with 26 points.

The Tigers now stand at 14-2 on the season and 3-0 in SEC play.

Up next - Mizzou will return home Sunday to take on to take on Arkansas at 2 p.m.
