Tracking blowing snow, brutally cold wind chills overnight

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with blowing snow. Lows between -5 to -10 with wind chills between -25 and -30.

TOMORROW: Partly sunny with patchy blowing snow. Highs in the single digits. Wind chills between -20 and -25.

EXTENDED: Winds could gust up to 40 mph at times between tonight and tomorrow, so blowing snow will be the main travel headache over the next 24 hours. Wind chills will continue to be brutal, dropping into the -25 to -30 range through Friday morning. Friday afternoon will feel like -15 to -20. Saturday morning feels like about -15, but wind chills should hover just above zero in the afternoon. Sunday morning wind chills will be in the -5 to -10 range, but we improve later in the day as sunshine returns and temperatures get into the low 20s with winds easing. Sunday night, we'll be tracking another clipper system that could bring a few snow showers into Monday morning. A dusting to a half inch is possible from where we stand now. Next week gets much warmer with temperatures getting to near 50 by Wednesday and climbing into the 50s by Thursday. Showers are possible by Friday as temperatures get into the upper 50s.
