Tracking showers and storms tomorrow

THIS AFTERNOON: Stubborn clouds will keep temperatures in the 40s all afternoon but Monday remains dry.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the 30s overnight, and rain won't return until near sunrise.

EXTENDED: Showers move in just before sunrise for those to the west, and spread northeast through the morning. More widespread rainfall comes by late morning and early afternoon, as the occluded front of this system approaches. Widespread rainfall and even some thunder are forecast through the afternoon and into the evening. We're starting to dry up after the dinner hour to the west, and rain should clear areawide by midnight. Temperatures climb into the mid-50s ahead of the rain Tuesday, and cool into the 30s again overnight into Wednesday. More sunshine returns Wednesday morning, and temperatures will benefit from it, remaining in the 40s despite a cooing wind. We're fully in cooler air on Thursday, as the back end of the same system brings clouds back. With the clouds will come a slim chance for a passing flurry Thursday night and Friday, but any snow would be ornamental and no impacts are expected. Expect highs in the 30s Thursday, with cold air sticking around into the weekend. Hints of sunshine return Saturday and Sunday.
