Man found dead in SUV at Camdenton Walmart

Camdenton police say they found a southwest Missouri man dead Monday in an SUV at Walmart.

Police were called to the store at about 5:20 p.m. after a Walmart employee found a man later identified as James E. Warner, 45, of Joplin, in the rear cargo area of an SUV, the Camdenton Police Department said in a news release.

Warner’s body was on a mattress with clothing around him, police said.

Police turned the body over to a medical examiner and next of kin were notified, according to the release. Investigators did not know the cause of death Tuesday.
