Warm start to the week

MONDAY: After a mostly sunny start, we’ll pick up some cloud cover toward the afternoon. Highs will reach near 90 with heat indices in the low to mid 90s .

TONIGHT: We’ll have a chance of picking up some showers and a rumble of thunder overnight, but looks to hold off until after midnight. Lows tonight will only make it to near 70.

EXTENDED: Things will stay active heading into Tuesday-while showers moving in overnight will generally look to weaken, more look to develop into the afternoon as this cold front continues to move through. Severe weather chances still look low, but there could be some brief heavy downpours and isolated gusty winds. We’ll be tracking a couple more disturbances throughout the week, but Thursday and Friday look to be the best bets to see rain, but you’ll want that umbrella handy throughout the week. Rain totals look to be between 1-3 ” .
