Tracking a warm and dry leadup to Thanksgiving

TODAY: Monday continues our warm up, and it will be much more noticeable today. After climbing 30 degrees from morning lows to reach mid-40s on Sunday afternoon, temperatures likely climb into the mid-to-upper 50s this afternoon. Winds will be from the southwest, and breezy at times, gusting up to 20 mph in some places early this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Winds will relax overnight, and skies stay clear. Temperatures fall into the low 30s for a warmer start again on Tuesday.

EXTENDED: Sunshine and south winds will keep us warm, in the upper 50s on Tuesday afternoon. Clouds will start to increase on Wednesday, but thanks to a strengthening of some low-level southerly winds, we'll pull temperatures up to near 60 for highs. This will also move in a little bit of moisture into the atmosphere, but the question is just how much. As of now, it looks limited, and so a cold front that passes on Thursday will likely only produce minimal amounts of measurable rainfall, if any at all. Cloudy skies, and slightly cooler temperatures are forecast for Thanksgiving day, with a chance at a spot shower or two. There's still a lot of uncertainty in the forecast surrounding what comes beyond Turkey Day, as guidance diverges quite a bit for the weekend. With low confidence going forward, we'll trend dry and slightly cooler, perhaps 40's for highs, going into Friday, with a slight warming trend returning to 50s into the weekend.
