UPDATE: 1-year old found safe in Texas

UPDATE: The Springfield Police Department canceled the Amber Alert that was issued Sunday afternoon.

According to a release sent just before 2 p.m. Monday, 1-year old Anatolievich Bandurovskiy was found safe in Texas.

Questions should be sent to the Springfield Police Department.

ORIGINAL: The Springfield Police Department issued an Amber Alert Sunday afternoon for a 1-year-old boy taken by his biological father.

Police said the abduction happened Friday night.

Authorities are looking for 33-year-old Viktor Anatolievich Bandurovskiy, who was last seen driving a white 2008 Scion TC with Arkansas license plate number 940MNT

Police said Bandurovskiy took his son, Eli Bandurovskiy, from his mother during a visitation. Police said the father has a history of domestic abuse, drug use and has made threats toward the child.

A cell phone ping Sunday afternoon indicated the father may be in Houston, Texas.

Viktor Bandurovskiy is described as 5’10”, 150 pounds with brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing a black button up shirt and dark blue jeans.

Eli is described as weighing 32 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a thick navy cardigan sweater with two red horizontal stripes and large buttons, a grey under shirt, blue and grey striped pajama pants and blue and lime green velcro tennis shoes.

The child also had another set of clothing described as a grey Christmas sweatshirt, blue shirt and black skinny jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911, their local law enforcement agency or the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1171.
