Severe Storm Risk for parts of Mid-Missouri this morning

FRIDAY: A Weather Alert Day is in effect for the potential for severe thunderstorms this morning, especially along and north of I-70. Storms could bring heavy rain, damaging winds, and hail for the morning commute and exit by lunch time. Temperatures try to recover back into the upper 80s to around 90.

TONIGHT: It will be warm & humid overnight with temperatures dipping into the upper 70s.

EXTENDED: For Saturday, the heat returns with air temperatures in the low 90s and feels like temperatures between 100-105*. Most of the day looks dry but some spot afternoon storms are possible. Make sure to keep hydrated and wear light-colored, loose fitting clothing. More storms are possible into Sunday morning, thankfully temperatures cool off into the mid 80s. It will remain humid.
