Redel wins Holts Summit alderman seat in special election
Preliminary results show voters favored Chris Redel over Lisa Buhr for Board of Alderman Ward 2 in Holts Summit.
Buhr received 39 votes and Redel received 59 votes.
According to the Callaway County Clerk’s website, on Friday a verification team will return to finalize the certification.
Tuesday’s special election came after Buhr and Redel tied for the seat in the April election.
The board had originally planned to play a “game of chance” to break the tie, however Buhr requested a special election instead.
“The last thing I want to do is cost the city more money,” Buhr told ABC 17 News in April. “However, I feel compelled to uphold our voting processes.”
